WINTER ACTIVITIES
Find out why Iron Horse Resort is your perfect location when the snow flies in Winter Park and the Fraser Valley. Some live to ride Winter Park's groomers or attack Mary Jane's famous bumps. Perhaps your mood compels you to settle into a day of pampering and relaxing. Whatever your passion, the Iron Horse is in the middle of it all and our knowledgeable staff can help you enjoy your winter vacation exactly as you please. The following activities are accessible a few steps from your door.

Ski-in / Ski-out
Alpine Ski and Snowboard at Winter Park Resort
As Winter Park's first ski-in/ski-out resort, we've carved an intimate niche into the Arapaho National Forest at the foot of Winter Park and Mary Jane. Tucked away, our location offers the illusion of seclusion. We make it easy to enjoy a hassle-free ski or snowboard holiday with on-site gear rental, free ski storage and, of course, Winter Park's prime ski-in/ski-out location.

Cross-Country Skiing (Nordic)
Fraser Valley's is a Nordic skiing mecca. Never tried it? A beginner lesson is fun for both kids and adults. In addition to Nordic centers, the Fraser Valley features miles of backcountry trails just minutes away from the Iron Horse. Ask us about trails and ski rentals.

Dog Sled Rides
Experience a Klondike adventure right here in the Fraser Valley! Nestle into a warm sled and cruise the Winter Park backcountry behind eight Siberian and Alaskan huskies. Your guide will treat you to loads of entertaining stories about the dogs and the Fraser Valley environment.

Ice Skating
Enjoy one of winter's favorite pastimes - a fun activity for the entire family. The downtown Winter Park ice rink is located at Cooper Creek Square, and skate rentals are close by.

Sleigh Rides
For holidays or anytime! Ride an old-fashioned sleigh beneath a starry night and enjoy hot chocolate and bonfire or an all-out western dinner. We can help you organize a unique and fun family outing or private romantic interlude that's right for you. Complete with toasty blankets and festive jingle bells!

Snowcat Tours
For the skier and non-skier alike, Winter Park Resort offers guided snowcat tours of the resort. Ask us for details.

Snowmobiling
All ages can explore miles of backcountry trails that wind through the Fraser Valley and lead to pristine mountain meadows and magnificent vistas. Guided and unguided tours available.

Snowshoeing
One of America's fastest growing winter sports, snowshoeing is your passage to perfect backcountry solitude and a chance to view local wildlife such as deer, elk, moose and fox. We're happy to direct you to trails that suit your abilities. Lessons and snowshoe rentals are available too!

Snow Tubing
This isn't your Grandpa's tubing hill! Zoom to the top of a slick slope via rope tow, mount your large, cushy tube, and scream your way to the bottom. The Fraser Tubing Hill is a natural roller coaster ride and family favorite. Open day and night.
