Ski-in / Ski-outAlpine Ski and Snowboard at Winter Park Resort As Winter Park's first ski-in/ski-out resort, we've carved an intimate niche into the Arapaho National Forest at the foot of Winter Park and Mary Jane. Tucked away, our location offers the illusion of seclusion. We make it easy to enjoy a hassle-free ski or snowboard holiday with on-site gear rental, free ski storage and of course Winter Park's prime ski-in/ski-out location. Cross-Country Skiing (Nordic)Fraser Valley is a Nordic skiing mecca. Never tried it? A beginner lesson is fun for both kids and adults. In addition to Nordic centers, the Fraser Valley features miles of backcountry trails just minutes away from the Iron Horse. Ask us about trails and ski rentals.
Dog Sled RidesExperience a Klondike adventure right here in the Fraser Valley! Nestle into a warm sled and cruise the Winter Park backcountry behind eight Siberian and Alaskan huskies. Your guide will treat you to loads of entertaining stories about the dogs and the Fraser Valley environment.
Ice SkatingEnjoy one of winter's favorite pastimes - a fun activity for the entire family. The downtown Winter Park ice rink is located at Cooper Creek Square, and skate rentals are close by. Winter Park Resort also has a new ice skating rink that will be opening this upcoming season in the Village Base Area. Rentals are located by the rink. Sleigh RidesFor holidays or anytime! Ride an old-fashioned sleigh beneath a starry night and enjoy hot chocolate and bonfire, or an all-out western dinner. We can help you organize a unique and fun family outing or private romantic interlude that's right for you. Complete with toasty blankets and festive jingle bells! Snowcat ToursFor the skier and non-skier alike, Winter Park Resort offers guided snowcat tours of the resort. A snowcat is a mix between a snowmobile and a minivan that holds 13 passengers. Make sure you dress warm enough for the many stops along the way to take pictures! The 2-hour tour is truley the way to see the mountainside without having to take the lift. Price for adult starts at $49. Children 3 and under are free if they sit in an adult's lap. SnowmobilingAll ages can explore miles of backcountry trails that wind through the Fraser Valley and lead to pristine mountain meadows and magnificent vistas. Guided and unguided tours available. SnowshoeingOne of America's fastest growing winter sports, snowshoeing is your passage to perfect backcountry solitude and a chance to view local wildlife such as deer, elk, moose and fox. We're happy to direct you to trails that suit your abilities. Lessons and snowshoe rentals are available too! Snow TubingThis isn't your Grandpa's tubing hill! Zoom to the top of a slick slope via rope tow, mount your large, cushy tube and scream your way to the bottom. The Fraser Tubing Hill is a natural roller coaster ride and family favorite.
